Visual Sequential Narrative Progress 01

 Starting off I really like the idea of using a bridge to portray the passage of time/sequence. I think this would be visually and creatively interesting, additionally, people sometimes use bridges metaphorically as a link between differing dimensions, or perhaps the afterlife. I believe there is a lot of creative potential!

    I agree and think bridges are so interesting and have so much meaning behind them. I look forward to seeing which direction you go in with the project and what you will choose to connect with the image of a bridge and how that idea may shape the type of bridge you choose.

    I think bridges are such a great visual communicator of merging, passing, and change. The themes you've mentioned can naturally relate to the metaphorical messages bridges create. I'm excited to see how you use the bridge in accordance with these ideas!

Cyclical Nature Progress 01

 I'm not totally clear on how I am supposed to alter these images, so here is my current interpretation! I grabbed these images:  I used the masking tool to cut out the oatmeal packets and the pouring water, and then I layered the images in this order with these effects: Layer 1 (top): Boiling water image (blending mode: lighter color) Layer 2: Masked pouring water image (blending mode: soft light) Layer 3: Masked oatmeal packets (blending mode: lighten) Layer 4: Oatmeal bowl (normal) To create this:  I wanted to combine some of the stages of the cycle into one image; I feel like I incorporated some fun textures, shape and movement into this image. I intend to experiment with different images, using different effects to make a variety of iterations.
